Computer Management System (CMS) Solutions
J.L. Becker Company offers a complete Computer Management System (CMS) option. Our CMS allows you to accurately monitor and control the heat treating process through programming setpoints and temperature control. Reporting is also available through the CMS. Our Computer Management System monitors and controls functions for the furnaces, generators and the auxiliary equipment. The state of the art system consists of a panel mount touch screen computer with NEMA rated pass throughs for a keyboard and mouse with a shelf. The panel will include the necessary Allen Bradley PLC with input/output logic cards and thermocouple cards to complete the CMS system.
The CMS application provides all necessary operator interfacing; such as temperature monitoring, temperature set points, atmosphere flows, graphical trending charts for various process parameters and alarm functions. The monitor will indicate part/recipe identification lot number, location of the load within the system etc. All alarming is accomplished through the CMS system. Typical alarms include high temperature, high temperature deviation, low temperature, low temperature deviation, high flow rates, low flow rates, atmosphere high pressure, atmosphere low pressure, etc. The CMS will record all set points and actual values on the integrated data storage. The CMS provides a trend screen to review this data and export as necessary. In addition, the data can be stamped into a separate existing database, if so needed. The CMS includes a maintenance module which tracks machine(s) usage and provides suggested maintenance at customizable intervals. It includes a maintenance log that records completion of all maintenance, as well as allows custom maintenance notes to be logged into the system. The CMS provides batch tracking; allowing information such as start time, end time, quantity, job number, lot number, etc. to be entered into the database. The structure of this logging is customized to meet the customer’s needs. The data can be stamped into an existing database as well. The system can be designed and programmed to include temperature ramp-up, process parameters as identified by the furnace number and other identifiable criteria. The ramping feature also allows unattended manual start-up with the need to manually raise the temperature every few hours. All features of the CMS are customized to meet the specific need of the individual equipment and requirements. The CMS includes, but not limited to, a Wonderware based touch screen for control and information processing applications and other selectable information as desired or required. The system will be designed for an operator to input program recipes, process parameters and various settings to operate the equipment heat treating cycles. The system will include a printer to obtain a hard copy of desired data. |
